ABSTRACT : In real time, wireless sensor networks are used to gather physical phenomenon from the environment. Mobile Wireless sensor networks can be used to collect the data like live humans and unexploded bombs in the post-war field. Every data is very important in this application. To effectively collect the data, we propose a new neighborhood discovery algorithm based on the GPS coordinates and RSSI. In this algorithm mobile sensor nodes are used to acquire the data. The acquired data is forwarded/ transmitted to the sink node either directly or via relay nodes. Our neighborhood discovery algorithm is simulated using Omnet++ simulator and matlab. The obtained results show that our algorithm provides reduced data loss with uniform low velocity of mobile nodes.
